This morning when I went to work, I was ready to make an impact. I had been up the night before reading some information on the founders of many popular beauty lines today and have come to find out that many of them were just ordinary women who transformed themselves into extraordinary entrepreneurs. These women worked hard and beat the odds to become one of a kind, they built empires and a whole industry based on a dream they had and decided to pursue. On my drive home, I thought about these women and how I saw a bit of myself in every single one of them…their ambition is the same i have in me, their go get attitude, their relentlessness and their passion, those are all qualities that I possess. From Estee Lauder, to Elizabeth Arden to Coco Chanel, I knew I had it in me to make an impact and stand out. As I walked through the doors of the department, I thought to myself I am ready…I will make a statement!

The thing about great skin is, everybody wants it but nobody wants to work for it. Coco Chanel once said, “Nature gives you the face you have at twenty; it is up to you to merit the face you have at fifty.” With that said, a little goes a long way, the earlier we start taking care of our skin and our faces the better off we are in the long run. Recently, I have to come to learn that night treatment is very essential for your skin. Not just taking off your make up and washing your face, but an actual facial treatment. I have learned that skin serums are a girls best friend, and if used properly and consistently they do indeed work. Currently, my treatment is as follows, Clinique Facewash (oily to oily combo) because of my skin type, followed by the Cliniques toner. Once my face is clean and free from all impurities, I apply Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair serum, let my skin soak it in for about 5 minutes…the most important step to this though is my night cream and currently I use Elizabeth Arden’s Prevage Night cream and eye cream. The cream is a bit heavy but absorbs through the night and I wake up with glowing skin in the morning. I know most of you wander about my age, I am in my mid-20’s and yes some of the descriptions on the products are that they fight wrinkles and I know I don’t have any, but they also contain collagen and help maintain the skin firm. I have been using this for a week and have seen consistent improvement on my skin. I encourage you to try it and let me know what the results are for you. Good luck :)
